For a functioning democracy, we must have an informed public, leading to full political participation. It is challenging for the public to be informed about important issues when the media is focused on sensationalism rather than journalism. This is why the Green Party provides critical information to the public, including social justice information, environmental concerns with air and drinking water, transportation and energy alternatives, government and corporate investigation, reproductive rights, etc.

Participation Keep me informed on progressive issues in Texas. (Including email, newsletter, and phone banking.) Keep me informed on Green Party activities. (Green Party events, functions, meetings, rallies, fund raisers, etc.) I will volunteer for special events, maybe 1 or 2 every quarter.
