The following is a quick list of important local issues.

1. Development over the aquifer recharge zone - PGA
2. Clean up of Kelly AFB groundwater contamination
3. Campaign finance reform including publicly funded campaigns at the city level (city council and mayor)
4. Egregious governmental decisions as of late including but not limited to: the Patriot Act, war in Iraq, etc.; and how these decisions have effected local Muslims, those of middle eastern decent and those who look like they are. In addition to the effects of the Patriot Act on speaking out for "green" issues which are antithetical to the current establishment [dissent]
5. Creation of the Trinty Glen Rose "conservation" district which will deprive well users of sustainable water supply.
6. Immigrant rights
7. Living wages
