Are you aware the court order extends the filing date to February 1,2012? It’s on page 5 of the December 16 court order. I’ve contacted State Party headquarters.
We are decyphering the details now. However, the court order does say that the judge can nullify it, so if you file by Jan 1, 2012, there is no doubt your application will be valid. Why risk it? What benefit is there from waiting another month to file your form?
It gives us Greens the same amount of time to find candidates at it does (D)’s and(R)’s. I filed my county chair paperwork by Jan.1 and all county chairs can use this extra month to find candidates. If a judge overrules the Feb.1 date that would be unfortunate. I’m having trouble getting any candidates in a county of 250,000 people with 160,000 registered voters.
It does take a lot of work, people need to be convinced they too can run for office. It doesn’t take anything special and Greens are NOT the same as the two-headed corporate duopoly.
