Campaign Coordinating
Responsible for coordinating with any candidates running on the Green Party ticket to ensure successful campaigns.
Communications
Responsible for press and electronic media relations, publicity, internal communications, maintenance of the web site, Speakers Bureau, and literature.
Finance
Responsible for creating an annual budget, maintenance of the bank account and reporting to the Texas Ethics Commission and Federal Elections Commission.
Fundraising
Responsible for fundraising from contributors and organizing fundraising events.
Legal
Responsible for legal work necessary to establish the Bexar County Green Party,
including research on election law, legal requirements for financial
filing, and other legal needs as they arise.
The BCGP Legal Committee serves as the standing bylaws working group. As BCGP
grows, bylaws revisions will be necessary, and Legal will write and propose
changes for submission to the General Membership. Legal will also serve BCGP
by formulating bylaws changes suggested by other committees and members of
BCGP.
Membership
Responsible for recruitment of new members, outreach and education to individuals and organizations, maintenance of membership database, and liaison with interest groups and special-interest organizations.
Research
The Research Committee is responsible for issues research and information support to other committees.
Steering
The Steering Committee is empowered to act on behalf of the BCGP between General Membership Meetings. Every member of the Bexar County Green Party is invited to attend and participate in the Steering Committee meetings.
